December Issue

December Pics!

This issue is on the streets of Atlanta now; below are some snippets from articles in the latest issue:

Are The Homeless “Less”?
DIXIE SCOTT,
Formerly Homeless Writer

Not all homeless are criminals and come from bad backgrounds.  I had gone to college and gotten a music degree .… A lot of the homeless on the streets were previously hard workers, had college degrees, and were even Professors at colleges …

Spiritual Songs
RICHARD D. PARKAM, JR.,
“I’m Just a Voice” Writer

The time has come for us to hymn spiritual songs …
A man finds himself:  mind, body, and soul; will eventually define himself:  mind, body, and soul…

The We People
SERONA GILBERT,
Homeless Writer

Yes.  There must be a better way.  As cold sets in and Christmas on the way, the day of our Father’s birth, we the people are still happy that we never forget where we come from and pray that we can have a better day…

To read the articles in their entirety, please buy a copy of the paper from a badged vendor or subscribe.

November Issue

November Issue is on the streets now.  Below are some snippets from that, our best issue yet:

A Night in the Life
IVAN COOLEY,
Homeless Poet

Cold October night
Misty precipitation
Side of frustration
Side of elation

Cold November night
Misty precipitation
No where to go
Positive side of frustration
No sustenance provided
Stomach is desolate
Leads to contemplation … [for the complete poem please buy this edition from a badged vendor or subscribe.]

Rest in Paradise, Troy Davis
RICHARD D. PARKAM, JR.,
“I’m Just a Voice” Writer

…to me, his name stand for a lot … his story and conviction valued
to me more than gold; the example of his life makes me thank thinking twice about the piece of my life; his was taken so easily and lightly; but grounded me so deeply on spiritual food; damn, that could’ve been me or you; to the reader, who is conscious as myself; political and spiritual; morals and credentials of a man is formless, no respect; to me, shore or quick sand; precipitating bad influences are ruining to soil; freedom was sacrificed by great examples: Jesus, Martin Luther King, Jr., Ghandi; and now Troy Davis; martyrdom must be bestowed upon his soul; mar– tyrdom and Christiandom are clarities given by sacrifice for the sake of humanity; blood given freely; either by choice or force; wisdom doesn’t belong to wary leaders in positions of power, because understanding
of God knows charity; it will always prevail; the people, citizens of the world know that compassion and mercy could’ve been bestowed upon Troy Davis’ life .… [for the whole prose piece please buy from a badged vendor or subscribe.]
